Unidentified persons disfigured the statue of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga located near Kalidindi village in Eluru district on Friday (August 22) night.
A masked person, who came near the statue on a bike damaged the statue, while another person picked him up and they escaped into the dark at around 1.10 a.m., said Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore.
