Jeremy Corbyn has hit back at Nicola Sturgeon after she described the former Labour Leader as exuding 'sneering superiority' in her new book.

The ex-Scottish first minister sparked significant backlash after publishing her memoir, Frankly, earlier this month, with several bombshell claims from almost a decade in power.

Notably, the book caused a stir with Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who famously wore a t-shirt labelling Sturgeon a ‘destroyer of women’s rights’ and posted a scathing review of ‘Frankly’ just hours after it was released.

It also sparked fury among allies of Alex Salmond, including his successor Kenny MacAskill, over claims in the book that he may have leaked details of his own sexual misconduct saga.

Now Corbyn has joined in the chorus of backlash after he was described by Sturgeon as exuding an 'aura of aloofness and sneering superiority' in the few times they met.
