A seven-year-old boy has been seriously injured in an alleged hit and run after he was knocked over by a motorbike.
Two men, aged 19 and 21, have been arrested after the schoolboy was hit by the vehicle on Westminster Road in Middlesbrough yesterday afternoon.
The boy was rushed to The Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle by air ambulance where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
A police helicopter was also seen circling above Middlesbrough in the aftermath of the crash.
The pair who have been arrested have been released on bail pending further enquiries, Cleveland Police has said.
