Govt. fixes five-year maximum tenure for administrative posts under Health Dept. in Greater Bengaluru Area

Following the adoption of the Karnataka Civil Services (Regulation of Transfer of Medical Officers and Other Staff) (Amendment) Bill 2025, the State government has now stipulated a maximum of five years tenure for administrative posts under the Health Department in the Greater Bengaluru Area (GBA).

This is to prevent overstay and to ensure equitable distribution, transparent, fair and effective management of postings to administrative positions across the State, stated a Government Order (GO) issued in this regard on Friday.
