A Conservative council leader has released a bizarre Grand Theft Auto-style advert showing him blowing up solar farms after his county was earmarked for swathes of solar panels.
South Norfolk Council leader Daniel Elmer stars in the video, in which he daydreams about how to deal with a spate of applications for solar farms in a meeting.
A number of the largest solar farms in the UK have been proposed for in Norfolk given its flat terrain and abundance of field and farmland.
Norfolk could become the biggest solar energy producer in the country if the schemes all go ahead.
But Mr Elmer, who has opposed many of the schemes, has now released the strange ad in a bid to encourage locals to fill out a survey objecting to proposals.
