Aug. 22 (UPI) -- The White House released a list of items that it said proves that the Smithsonian Institute frames history through "ideological" narratives instead of factual evidence.

The list, released Thursday and titled "President Trump Is Right About the Smithsonian," included 22 bullet points that cited exhibits that President Donald Trump takes issue with. Items categorized as unacceptable include an exhibit at the National Museum of the American Latino that portrays the U.S. as stolen land and characterizes U.S. history as rooted in "colonization."

It also listed several arguments against certain pieces of art in the museum.

"The National Portrait Gallery features art commemorating the act of illegally crossing the 'inclusive and exclusionary' southern border -- even making it a finalist for one of its awards," the release said.
