From Avery to Yuri, parents are increasingly choosing gender-neutral names for their children. New data from BabyCenter reveals eight names, including Blake, Jojo and Sidney are suitable for both boys and girls. Additionally, there are 32 more names, such as Armani, Georgie, Rory, and Tatum that are used almost equally for both genders.
"From current megastars like Blake Lively to historical literary icons like Jules Verne, gender-neutral names are a thing of both the past and present," stated BabyCenter in a news release. "And it looks like the trend isn't going away any time soon."
The list was compiled based on tens of thousands of entries received from parents who track their pregnancies with BabyCenter and register their babies' names with it each year, giving "editors a unique glimpse into which names are actually being used equally (or very, very close to it) between baby boys and baby girls," according to the company.
