A crooked female prison officer who plotted with an inmate to smuggle illegal drugs and mobile phones into the high-security jail where she worked has been jailed.

Tori Muddyman, 31, was caught after police were tipped off in 2019 she had been sneaking contraband into HMP Onley in Northamptonshire.

She was arrested after a search of her garage revealed a bag containing cannabis, steroids, a mobile phone, SIM cards, chargers, alcohol and tobacco.

Muddyman went on to confess she had accepted £2,500 from a serving prisoner to bring the banned items into work with her at the category C jail.

She admitted picking up a bag from a woman at Rugby train station but claimed she never went through with taking the items into the prison.
