More than one in four Labour members would consider joining Jeremy Corbyn's new left-wing party, according to a poll.

The Survation research found 28 per cent of Labour members would consider leaving the party for the outfit being set up by Mr Corbyn.

Together with fellow ex-Labour MP Zarah Sultana, Mr Corbyn last month announced his new venture, which has initially been named 'Your Party'.

The ex-Labour leader has claimed his pro-Gaza party will offer a 'real alternative' to Sir Keir Starmer's Government on issues such as 'inequality, poverty and war'.

Mr Corbyn has boasted that 700,000 people have already 'signed up' to the movement ahead of an inaugural conference, which is due to be held by the end of the year.
