Aug. 21 (UPI) -- A 64-year-old Cypriot reclaimed a Guinness World Record by balancing 511 wine glasses on his head for 15 seconds.
Aristotelis Valaoritis, a professional glass dancer, had the wine glasses -- collectively weighing about 139 pounds -- arranged into a block with sheets of plywood between the layers.
The block was then lifted by a forklift until Valaoritis could stand underneath it and take on the weight.
He stood with the 511 glasses balanced on his head for 15 seconds before returning the block to the forklift without any of the drink containers falling.
Glass dancing is a traditional performance in Cyprus involving an increasing number of glasses being placed on a dancer's head until they fall.
