Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Cincinnati Bengals guard Cordell Volson will undergo shoulder surgery and is expected to miss the 2025 season, coach Zac Taylor told reporters Wednesday.
"It's a tough one for him," Taylor said. "He's been a guy thats really worked hard for us."
Taylor said Volson sustained the injury to his right shoulder during practice and that his playing status will be confirmed after he has surgery.
Volson, who started 48 games over the last three seasons, is listed as a backup left guard, behind Dylan Fairchild, on the Bengals' unofficial depth chart. Lucas Patrick is listed as the starter at right guard, in front of second-string guard Cody Ford.
