Israel's former Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef said on Wednesday that somebody approached him and requested his approval for issuing a "din rodef" – a legal justification in Jewish law for killing someone considered an assailant – which would allow the murder of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara.
