Trump's red carpet reception of Putin in Alaska confirms all we need to know about the US President's attitude towards the Ukraine. Putin is strong and someone to be respected whilst Ukraine and the rest of Europe are supplicants, weak and needing his help. People who need help don't deserve respect in his eyes and this colours all of his dealings with both sides. So much for the great peace-maker!
