The boss of JD Wetherspoon had to intervene after a loyal punter complained his local had scrapped a much-loved jacket potato topping.
Adam Gale was disheartened when he found that the Rodboro Buildings, his regular pub in Guildford, Surrey, had axed tuna from the menu.
Though he could still opt for the likes of beans or cheese, he insisted nothing compared to the mighty tuna spud.
So distraught was he that he wrote a heartfelt letter to founder and chairman Sir Tim Martin, appealing for the return of his prized potato partner.
Mr Gale, of Cranleigh, said: 'I love visiting Wetherspoons pubs across the country.
