MLC sings praises of Horatti, literally, on his 45-year run

The Karnataka Legislative Council turned lyrical on Tuesday when JD(S) member S.L. Bhoje Gowda broke into a song, showering praises on Chairman Basavaraj Horatti for his long and distinguished innings in the Upper House.

Participating in a discussion initiated by Congress members Manjunath Bhandari and B.K. Hariprasad to congratulate Mr. Horatti for his unbeaten 45-year run as MLC, marking a rare milestone in the State’s legislative history, Mr. Gowda sang a song from the Kannada movie Besuge and described the Chairman as a guiding force for legislators over several decades.
