The Pondicherry State Students and Parents Welfare Association has urged authorities to initiate exemplary punitive measures against those who secured MBBS admissions using fake nativity certificates.
In appeals to the Lt. Governor, Chief Minister and others, Association president V. Bala Balasubramanian said this year, of the 1,700 applications received, at least 12 applicants were detected to have dual nativity (in Tamil Nadu and Kerala) while claiming domicile status in Puducherry.
