Jaber Farah stands at the counter of his small apartment kitchen, slowly stirring a glass of water mixed with vitamins, salt, and minerals – the only fuel keeping him alive. The 30-year-old from the Arab city of Sakhnin, now living in Nesher close to Haifa, has been on a hunger strike since July 20. His two dogs sit nearby, watching as he takes measured sips.
