The Health department is drawing up an action plan to make elaborate health-related arrangements ahead of Sabarimala pilgrimage. As per the plan, the department has directed all hospitals linked to Sabarimala to complete maintenance works and to open emergency medical centres with the help of the Dewaswom Board.
At a high-level meeting convened here on Monday, Health Minister Veena George directed all hospitals to stock up drugs and to ensure that anti-snake venom is available. She also directed that extra beds be arranged in all hospitals in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki districts.
