Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles was ejected from a game during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma for throwing his bat after being hit by a pitch.

Robles was hit in the right shoulder by Las Vegas pitcher Joey Estes in the third inning of Tacoma’s game at Las Vegas on Sunday. He reacted by launching his bat at the pitcher’s mound and was immediately tossed by the umpire. Robles then exchanged some words with Estes and ran toward the mound, but was held back by the umpire and some of his teammates. He threw a box of what appeared to be drinks onto the field on his way out.

Robles has been hit by pitches multiple times since starting his rehab assignment on Aug. 12. The 28-year-old is currently rehabbing from a shoulder injury he suffered while making a highlight-reel diving catch at San Francisco in April.

Robles apologized for his actions later that night on Instagram after his team’s 12-7 loss.
