A British woman who was allegedly raped by the fugitive Nicholas Rossi has accused the CPS of victim blaming after it refused to prosecute him.

The US man, 38, is facing life in prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a former girlfriend in 2008 last week.

He had been charged with rape in 2020 and a warrant for his arrest was issued, before he allegedly faked his own death and fled to Scotland.

It can now be revealed the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) ruled there is not enough evidence to prosecute him for a similar case in Essex, The Times first reported.

Alleged victim Michelle insisted Rossi raped her weeks after moving into her home in Chelmsford in 2017.
