The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it will allow the renewal of the supply of tents and other sheltering equipment in the Gaza Strip, as part of the IDF's preparations for the "transfer of population" southward.

"The aid will go through the Kerem Shalom crossing, through the UN and the international organizations," the IDF said.

Former Chief Sephardic Rabbi and member of the Shas Council of Elders, Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Haredi Knesset members on Saturday night for failing to advance the law exempting yeshiva students from military service.

In his regular class at his Beit Midrash, Yosef, the son of late Shas leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, called Netanyahu an "atheist" and claimed that Haredi politicians were forbidden to believe him. According to him, "Netanyahu threw out the Haredi in 2013 and went with Lapid, we must not forget that."

"Before forming the government, as written in the coalition agreement, the conscription law should have been passed," the rabbi said. "Before the first budget, without listening to Bibi. [They passed the] first budget, second budget, why did they listen to him?"
