Doctors at Krishnagiri Government Medical College Hospital performed surgery for pancreatic cancer for the first time, and the patient was discharged on Saturday (August 16, 2025).
Sundramoorthy (66), a resident of Avalapalli near Hosur, suffered from severe stomach pain on July 4 and was admitted at the Medical College Hospital. The doctors examined him and he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Following this, the doctors’ team performed their first surgery for pancreatic cancer in the hospital and successfully removed the tumour on July 31.
