Al-Ittihad, Al-Qadsiah head to city after Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr are forced to hold first training session in heavy rain
Two more Saudi Super Cup teams were set to arrive in Hong Kong on Friday to join Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr as the city continued preparations to stage the competition next week.
Ronaldo had sparked excitement when he and his Al-Nassr teammates arrived on Thursday, drawing a crowd of fans to the Regent Hong Kong hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui after word spread of the Portuguese’s arrival.
An even bigger crowd of fans were camped outside the hotel by the time the players re-emerged to head to training, which took place in heavy rain in Kowloon Tong, as Hong Kong continued to endure stormy weather after Tropical Storm Podul lashed the region.
