A Syrian asylum seeker has appeared in court to deny raping a woman in a public toilet on Bournemouth seafront.
Mohammed Abdullah, 18, allegedly attacked the 20-year-old woman in the toilet in Undercliff Drive, Bournemouth, at about 2am on July 6.
Abdullah, a student, entered not guilty pleas to charges of rape and assault by penetration alleged to have been committed against one complainant.
During a short hearing at Bournemouth Crown Court, Abdullah, who arrived in Britain as an asylum seeker in 2023 and has been granted permanent leave to remain here, was assisted in the dock by an interpreter.
Judge Jonathan Fuller KC said Abdullah, of West Drayton, Middlesex, will go on trial on May 5 next year.
