The UFC will host a fight at the White House next year, Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White confirmed Tuesday.

“It is definitely going to happen,” White said on “CBS Mornings.”

The mixed martial arts fight will take place July 4, 2026, as part of a yearlong celebration for the United States’ 250th birthday. President Donald Trump first teased the fight last month, saying he wanted an event at the White House with 25,000 spectators in attendance.

“We’re gonna have a UFC fight, think of this, on the grounds of the White House,” Trump said last month. “We have a lot of land there, we’re gonna build a little ― we’re not, Dana’s gonna do it, Dana’s great, one of a kind.”

White told “CBS Mornings” that at the end of the month, he’s going to start planning the event with the president.
