RIYADH: Saudi Arabia marked International Youth Day on Tuesday, highlighting a number of initiatives supporting the country’s young population.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development inaugurated a new Youth Development Award, which received more than 300 submissions.
“Through this award, we seek to motivate all parties to empower our youth, who have proven to be the nation’s true wealth and the leaders of its development journey,” ministry spokesperson Mohammed Al-Rizqi told Arab News.
On Tuesday, the General Authority for Statistics revealed statistics from 2024 that showed 69.4% of the population of Saudi Arabia is now under the age of 35.
The International Islamic Youth Symposium also issued a statement affirming the Kingdom’s achievements in supporting young people.
