Waterworld denies girl, four, who died at attraction was in wave pool

Waterworld has denied that a four-year-old girl who died at the swimming centre was in the wave pool at the time.

The girl was found in a critical condition after an unspecified incident at the attraction in Festival Park, Staffordshire on August 4.

An ambulance team took over resuscitation and rushed the schoolgirl to hospital where she later died.

Initial reports said the incident took place in the lagoon section of the popular park and further parents have since claimed their children have experienced issues in the wave pool.

But Waterworld has now claimed the waves were not in operation at the time of the shocking incident.
