Kelly Clarkson got emotionally raw on stage 12 days before the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
Blackstock died on Aug. 7 from cancer at the age of 48.
The Grammy winner and Blackstock were married for seven years before embarking on a seemingly messy divorce in 2020. The former couple share two kids, River Rose, 11, and Remington Alexander, 9.
In a heartbreaking video recorded by TikTok user @modestishottest4u, Clarkson can be seen tearing up multiple times during a July 26 performance at her Las Vegas Studio Session residency. The moment occurred while Clarkson was explaining to the audience that she had changed the lyrics of her 2015 song “Piece by Piece” yet again.
“Compartmentalization,” Clarkson can be seen in the video jokingly telling herself as she wipes tears from her eyes.
