John Lewis is selling an emperor size Icelandic eiderdown cover from its 'Ultimate Collection' for £12,460.
The duvet, which promises 'pure luxury', has raised the eyebrows of shoppers. 'I could furnish my entire house for that and still have change,' said one.
The single size version of the duvet is £4,935, medium is £7,205, king costs £9,710 and the superking is priced at £10,115.
Other items in the Ultimate Collection range include a superking mattress worth £12,499, an Egyptian cotton duvet cover for £510 and a £75 Oxford pillowcase.
