The 22-year-old striker will join on a five-year deal
‘The perfect place to fulfil all of my ambitions’
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Benjamin Sesko in a deal worth up to £73.7m with RB Leipzig. The striker will join on a five-year deal and become Ruben Amorim’s fourth major signing of the summer.
Sesko passed his medical at Old Trafford on Saturday morning and was set to be unveiled as a new United player at lunchtime before the pre-season friendly against Fiorentina. United are paying Leipzig €76.5m (£66.3m) plus a potential €8.5m (£7.4m) in add-ons.
The 22-year-old said: “The history of Manchester United is obviously very special but what really excites me is the future. When we discussed the project, it was clear that everything is in place for this team to continue to grow and compete for the biggest trophies again soon.
