A gunman went on a shooting rampage outside the CDC building in Atlanta near Emory College, leaving at least one police officer injured as terrified student sheltered in place.
The college alerted students of an active shooter at around 4pm, pleading with them to 'RUN. HIDE. FIGHT.' as police swarmed to scene outside campus.
Multiple gunshots were reported near near the main campus of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is just down the street from Emory College.
A student at their apartment near the campus recorded a video where gunshots were audible.
An alert from the university went out advising students of the shooter and telling them to avoid the CVS on campus where the suspect was.
