Oil fields in Iraqi Kurdistan that were shut in by a wave of drone strikes last month are coming back on line, but Sarsang, operated by Texas-based HKN Energy, will only pump at around half of its production capacity until late October due to damage sustained at the field’s facilities.
Kurdish Output Returning, Exports Fail to Materialize
The July drone strikes on Iraqi Kurdistan were the worst to date in terms of the number of fields impacted, shutting in around two-thirds of production.
