More than a dozen council officers scaled down a wall to clear a homeless man's encampment following a 'few weeks' of unsuccessful contact.
Officials descended onto Madeira Terrace in Brighton's seafront at around 9am today where they conducted their clean-up operation - still ongoing at around 3pm.
Images show men donning red helmets as they clutch stacks of books and cling onto blankets.
An aerial view of the camp itself shows a sorry sight as officers stand in the midst of stray boxes and other bits of rubbish.
Items seized included a homemade green tent that housed multiple possessions including multiple bicycle wheels and piles of clothes.
