A young Irish fashion designer found dead on a boat in the Hamptons town of Montauk, New York was not murdered, police have said.

The body of Martha Nolan-O'Slattara, 33, 'did not show evidence of violence,' Suffolk County Police Department announced Wednesday afternoon.

A police spokesperson said a preliminary examination of Nolan-O'Slattara's remains was 'inconclusive' and that a cause of death is 'pending further examination.'

Daily Mail asked Suffolk County Police if the death was drug-related, but they refused to comment.

Nolan-O'Slattara was found dead on a boat called Ripple around midnight on Tuesday. Witnesses recalled screams ringing out around the same time.
