The Crime Branch (CB) teams probing the disappearances of three women conducted further searches on Wednesday at the house of C.M. Sebastian, the prime suspect, at Pallipuram and at the residence of his friend Rosamma.
On the day, the investigators used ground-penetrating radar for examinations, but nothing concrete that could aid the investigation emerged. Officials also searched Rosamma’s property. As the probe widens, more individuals are expected to be questioned in the coming days.
Rosamma, meanwhile, denied allegations that she was the one who introduced Ayesha, one of the missing women, to Sebastian.
Last week, the CB arrested Sebastian, a real estate broker, on the charge of murdering Jainamma (Jain Mathew) from Ettumanur in Kottayam. Prior to his arrest, the investigators recovered skeletal remains from Sebastian’s house at Pallipuram. More bones were recovered from the property earlier this week. The remains have been sent for DNA testing and results are awaited.
Besides Jainamma and Ayesha, Sebastian is also under investigation in connection with the disappearance of Bindhu Padmanabhan.
