Following the security discussion convened by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday afternoon, his office issued a brief statement, saying that Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir had presented options for continuing the war in the Gaza Strip and that the army was "ready to implement any decision the security cabinet makes." The security cabinet is scheduled to meet Wednesday.
