An Orlando woman is facing 20 felony charges after she performed a procedure that made her patient's chin rot away.
Gabriela Pereira, 29, was arrested last week for practicing medicine without a license to do so in Florida, according to an affidavit.
The lawsuit claims that Pereira performed a fat–reducing treatment on the chin of her patient, Kelly Coelho, in April 2024 that caused a severe infection.
Coelho, a hotel cleaner, visited Tonya Beauty Medical Spa in Orlando multiple times to receive Botox.
During one of her visits Coelho allegedly told Pereira that 'she would love to get her double chin done,' but could not afford the procedure, which was reportedly more than $800.
