Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and co-founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Shibu Soren passed away on Monday (August 4, 2025). His son, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, announced the death through the social media platform X.
Soren had been admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the national capital for over a month due to a kidney-related issue.
The 81-year-old leader had been the leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for the past 38 years and is recognised as the party’s founding patron.
