The NH-42 stretch between Anantapur and Chennai has been closed for vehicular traffic near RDT stadium till Monday morning for repairs. According to an official release, the repair is being taken up on the two bridges on Pandameru stream near RDT stadium and the NH-42 will remain closed till Monday 7 a.m. Those who want to travel towards Raptadu and Battalapalle have been asked to go through NH-44 bypass. Those who want to enter Anantapur from Kadiri and Battalapalle should also take the NH-44 bypass.
