Authorities were searching for a suspect after multiple people were shot at a business in Montana, authorities said on Aug. 1.
In a post on X, the Denver office of the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the shooting happened at a business in Anaconda, Montana, some 108 miles west of Bozeman. The Granite County Sheriff’s Office said a suspect connected to the shooting was still at large.
A subsequent post from the sheriff’s office said the suspect's house had been cleared by a SWAT team.
"Avoid the Anaconda area," the sheriff's office said. "Stay vigilant, report any suspicious activity."
Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte said Friday afternoon, Aug. 1 he was monitoring officials' response to the shooting.
