Actor Kalabhavan Navas, 51, was found dead at a hotel in Chottanikkara on Friday night.
Navas had reached the city to take part in a film shooting.
Though the actor, who was found lying inside his room motionless, was rushed to a nearby hospital, his life could not be saved, the police said.
