“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert wasn’t too impressed by President Donald Trump’s latest photo op on Thursday as he brought back the Presidential Fitness Test for public-school students.
The event featured a number of celebrity athletes including Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker and NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor.
“An important side note: Taylor is also a registered sex offender,” Colbert pointed out.
Taylor was arrested in 2010 and charged with felony statutory rape in a case involving a 16-year-old girl. He said the girl told him she was 19, and the following year pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct and soliciting a prostitute, both misdemeanors, and had to register as a sex offender.
Colbert mockingly congratulated Trump on having Taylor by his side at the White House.
