Martha Stewart may be all about manners, but she wasn’t exactly gracious when asked about Meghan Markle’s lifestyle influencer ambitions.
The domestic goddess and media mogul was subtle but seemingly skeptical when the Duchess of Sussex came up in a new interview with Yahoo Lifestyle.
“Meghan I don’t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she’s talking about,” Stewart said of Markle, whose cooking, hosting and all things homestead show on Netflix, “With Love, Meghan,” premiered last year ahead of the launch of her curated product line, As Ever.
Offering what sounded like a faint note of side-eye, Stewart added, “Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important.”
Back in March ahead of the release of Markle’s Netflix show, the lifestyle maven struck a more neutral tone during an interview with “Access Hollywood.”
