Two brothers accused of attacking an armed police officer in a confrontation at Manchester Airport which went viral will face a retrial next April.
Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammed Amaad, 26, are accused of assaulting PC Zachary Marsden in July last year.
Yesterday Amaaz was convicted of assaults on PCs Lydia Ward, breaking her nose, and Ellie Cook, who suffered facial bruising.
He was also found guilty of an attack on a plane passenger in a Starbucks cafe minutes before the brawl in the pay station area of the terminal.
But following a four-week trial at Liverpool Crown Court the jury was unable to reach verdicts on either Amaaz or Amaad over charges of assault causing actual bodily harm to PC Marsden.
