Congress accuses Maharashtra CM Fadnavis of suppressing Beed, Parbhani cases
Ms. Dnyaneshwari, along with her family and villagers from Parli and Ambejogai, has been demanding action in the alleged murder of Mahadev Munde, who was killed in October 2023. She has also alleged the involvement of Walmik Karad, a close aide of NCP Minister Dhananjay Munde, in her husband’s murder as well as in other killings in the region. She further claimed that action in these cases was delayed due to political pressure. Mr. Karad is also an accused in the Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder case.
During the meeting, Ms. Dnyaneshwari and her family recounted the past 21 months and spoke of a “constant fear” for their lives while seeking justice. “CM called police officials, including the Superintendent of Police, to issue an order on SIT and pay attention to the case,” she said.
