Senior Tories gathered today for the funeral of former Cabinet minister Lord Norman Tebbit.

The Conservative grandee, who was one of Margaret Thatcher's closest political allies, died on July 7 aged 94.

Mourners remembered his life during a service at St Edmundsbury Cathedral in the Suffolk town of Bury St Edmunds, where he lived, on Thursday.

Those seen arriving at the service included former Tory leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith, as well as ex-Cabinet ministers Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg and Dame Therese Coffey.

Sir Graham Brady, the former long-serving chair of the Tory 1922 Committee and ex-Conservative minister Neil Hamilton, together with his wife Christine, also attended.
