The Royal College of Nursing today said its members have voted to reject the government’s 3.6 per cent pay rise for 2025/26 in a landslide result.
More than nine in ten (91 per cent) respondents opposed the offer, with a record 170,000 staff taking part - a turnout of 56 per cent.

Professor Nicola Ranger, general secretary and chief executive of the RCN, said nurses feel ‘deeply undervalued’.
