MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament) has passed a law reinstating the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), according to a live broadcast on the Rada TV channel.
As many as 330 deputies voted in favor of the law. Most of the votes were cast by the Servant of the People pro-government political party, which had backed the adoption of a law undermining the independence of anti-corruption agencies on July 22.
The law was adopted in its final reading in an accelerated manner.
