Delta Airlines passengers have sued the airline after an employee’s lewd videos began appearing on their iCloud when their child lost their iPad on a flight.
The family complained to the airline at least twice about their stolen iPad, but did not receive a response besides the generic “no-reply” emails. Attorneys for the plaintiffs told HuffPost that they are trying to prevent similar instances from happening in the future.
HuffPost obtained a copy of the suit, which was filed in the U.S. District of South Carolina on July 16. It included censored screenshots of the pornographic videos, in which an unnamed individual exposed his genitals while wearing a Delta Airlines lanyard and badge.
The family is seeking financial compensation for “mental and emotional pain and suffering they endured and continue to endure” as well as “reimbursement for their losses and all bills and expenses incurred,” the complaint said.
Tory and Brooke Brewer were flying with their two children, who were 11 and 5 at the time, to London, England, on July 19, 2023, according to the suit. They departed from Charleston, South Carolina, and had a layover at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City.
