Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) Managing Director Amrapali Kata presented an overview of the State’s proactive initiatives aimed at building a conducive environment for tourism investments and infrastructure development at the IEIA South India Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) Industry Leaders Connect in Chennai on Wednesday.
Ms. Amrapali participated as a panellist representing Andhra Pradesh in a session titled “Synergy for Success: A Collaborative Roadmap for MICE Dominance”. She said that Andhra Pradesh was focussed on expanding tourism infrastructure, promoting key cities like Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Tirupati as preferred MICE destinations, unlocking the potential of tier-2 and tier-3 locations and advancing public-private partnership (PPP) models to drive sustainable and inclusive regional growth.
The event brought together senior government officials, industry experts and key tourism stakeholders to shape a collaborative roadmap for strengthening the MICE ecosystem across South India. The panel was moderated by Sooraj Dhawan, president, IEIA, and featured prominent tourism leaders from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Hyderabad.
